October RS Activity 

The second Tuesday of the month is usually the night for the Relief Society Activity.

But we are getting ready for Midnight Madness on November 6th so we are planning for a great night.

      Adventure Playground   40 to 50 volunteers (McFadden Ward Project)  Repair wooden forts, clean rafting pond (currently dry), paint, fix mud slide, weed, and beautify the playground to prepare for re-opening in June.

       Murdy Community Center and Park 30 to 40 volunteers (Ocean View Ward Project) Remove staples and re-paint picnic tables, benches, and parts of picnic shelter. Weed pre-school garden

      Golden View Elementary School Farm 40 to 50 volunteers (Beach Ward Project)  Repairing chain link fences, filling rabbit holes, painting, mulching, planting a few trees, laying flagstone, removing composting bin, and general beautification. Families are welcome and the kids can experience the animals (sheep, pigs, goats, chickens, ducks, geese and rabbits).

       Blakey Historical Park and Museum in Westminster 50 volunteers (Westminster/Bolsa Chica Wards)  Clean fire trucks and other historical vehicles, farm implement exhibits, museum and historical building interiors; paint the iconic "Shutter Shack", landscape, and weed.

       Bolsa Chica (Wetlands) Conservancy Up to 100 volunteers (Golden West Ward) PENDING   Help restore the natural habitats of the Bolsa Chica Wetlands by removing non-native plants and trash in conjunction with Earth Week.
